This is the first day of 2025.
I read the email from Geoff Knauth, President of FSF, Free software is powerful because of you.
I have been an associate member of FSF since 2017, and I am glad to continue this membership - I renewed membership to 2027.
As a member, I often get valuable suggest in member-only forum from various hackers from all over the world. I sometimes use the Jitsi meet instance from FSF to communicate with people but without being tracked. This is a feeling the freedom and collaboration. This is the society I would like to live my life.
Software is becoming a bigger part of our life, but the control of the software we use is becoming less. If we don’t try to fight for the software freedom, we will lose the freedom.
There are ladders to climb to become freer. Thanks to the GNU project and FSF, the ladders are available to everyone. All you need is to climb.
