Hi, everyone:
My name is Lao Xie. Nice to meet you all.
I came from Anyang city, Henan province. It is a beautiful city with rich history. I strongly recommend you to visit Anyang at least once in your life.
I used to study physics and later moved to electrical engineering for my career. I have been mainly working with computers and software. In 2003 for the first time I encountered the idea of free software from the GNU web site. I gradually realized that this idea about software and computer user freedom is so important that it deserves to be shared with more people, regardless of software developers or normal computer users.
I am very gald that TEDx offeres me an opportunity to do so. In my speech, I will briefly introduce the idea of free software and explain why we all should use free software.
